Crab Curry


Ingredients:


1 no            Crab(large size)
10 nos         Dry Red chilies
1 inch          Ginger
10 nos         Garlic
2 nos           Shallots
1 cup          Coconut
1 tbsp         Cumin
1/2 tbsp      Pepper
1 tsp           Fennel seeds
1 inch         Cinnamon
2 nos          Tomatoes (diced)
3 tbsp         Oil

A few Curry Leaves
Salt to taste
Preparation:

1.Clean the crab and cut into 6-8 pieces. Remove the top shell.

2.Grind dryredchilies, Ginger, Garlic, shallots, Coconut, Cumin, Pepper, Fennel seeds, Cinnamon to make a coarse paste.

3.Heat oil in a frying pan and sauté the crab pieces along with the tomatoes for about 3 minutes.Add the ground masala paste to the pan and sauté for another 5 minutes.

4.Add half a cup of water and salt to the pan, cover and cook on medium heat for about 15 minutes.

5.Uncover, increase the heat to high, and fry it till most of the water is evaporated to form a thick gravy.

6.Serve it with rice.
