Amritsari Fish
Ingredients
- 1 kg: Fish (cut into medium sized chunks)
- Oil for frying
- 75 ml: Lemon juice
- 1 tsp: Grated ginger
- 1 tsp: Black pepper
- 1 tsp: Salt
- 100 gm: Besan
- 1 tsp: Ginger paste
- 2 tsp: Garlic paste
- 2 tsp: Ajwain
- 1 tsp: Chilli powder
- 4 : red chillies (snipped)
- 1 tsp: Baking powder
- 100 ml: Iced water
- Salt to taste
- Combine all the marinade ingredients. Pour over the fish and set aside for 30 minutes.
- Remove the fish from the marinade and pat dry.
- Combine all ingredients for the batter. Coat the fish in the batter and set aside for 15 minutes.
- Fry in hot oil until golden brown. Serve hot.
